Galvanize Program

After the first United State of Women Summit last summer, you made it clear you wanted to keep learning and connecting – and you wanted to do it in your local community. We heard you loud and clear –and that’s why we’re proud to announce The Galvanize Program! We’re bringing local United State of Women summits to communities across the country to bring together people to tackle the challenges women are facing nationally and locally. We’re arming women with the tools and resources they need to keep organizing and fighting for gender equity, whether that’s through elected office, entrepreneurship, and everything in between.

DETAILS
The Galvanize Program will run roughly between 9:00am to 8:00pm on Saturday and from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday and include workshops on important local and national issues, skills training and an engagement fair. Attendees will pick a track based on their interests to receive in-depth and skills-based training developed by partner organizations. We want you to leave the Galvanize Program with a clear sense of how you are going to continue working for equality in your communities, and the connections with organizations and activists to make it happen!

ENGAGEMENT FAIR
We’re teaming up with 3K1A Strategies to host an Engagement Fair at each Galvanize event for attendees to network with local organizations, non-profits, corporations, labor unions, and small businesses to find even more ways to turn their passion into action.

GALVANIZE ALUMNI NETWORK
The Galvanize Program Alumni Network will keep attendees connected after their local summit! The Alumni Network provides attendees a way to communicate with fellow attendees and get involved with partner groups working on the issues they care about. With access to training webinars, volunteer opportunities, and action-oriented toolkits, the Alumni Network will help attendees continue to turn their passion into action!

The United State of Women is launching the Galvanize Program to build on the momentum of the Summit and bring the conversation to communities across the country. Let’s pledge to work together all across America, to support each other, to defend our progress, and to make lasting change towards gender equality. I believe The Galvanize Program is a great place to start, so let’s get together, get organized, and create positive change for tomorrow.
